Cardiac Rehabilitation at CHB

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac Rehabilitation serves clients who have had any of the following heart conditions: bypass surgery (coronary artery bypass), heart valve replacement or repair, heart attack, angioplasty or stent placement, or stable angina pectoris.

Cardiac Rehab is an exercise and education program, supervised by Registered Nurses who are trained in the field of cardiac rehabilitation.

Our staff has memberships in both the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) and Indiana Society of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (ISCVPR).

Clients in Phase II (recently recovering from a cardiac event) are monitored by continuous EKG as they learn to gain strength and safely increase their level of exercise and physical activity.

Cardiac Rehab also focuses on learning to prevent future heart problems by reducing risk factors for heart disease.

Community Hospital of Bremen offers Phase II Cardiac Rehab within the hospital, sharing a spacious exercise area with Physical Therapy.

Patients exercising in Cardiac Rehab enjoy an open, well-equipped exercise area, and a comfortable indoor environment while large windows offer a view of the outdoor countryside.

Our nurse to patient ratio allows individualized attention to be the standard care at Community Hospital of Bremen.
