Untreated sleep disorders often cause many other health problems, such as depression, stroke, heart attack, heart failure, pulmonary edema, gastro-esophageal reflux and social problems. Sleep disorders also create an increased risk of automotive and industrial accidents. All signs and symptoms of a sleep disorder should be taken very seriously and discussed with your physician.
Community Hospital of Bremen’s Sleep Lab provides diagnostic sleep testing, should your physician feel that you may benefit from an evaluation. All of the sleep lab personnel are certified in their field. Medical Director, Dr.Yatin Patel, M.D., is a board certified sleep specialist and pulmonologist. Sleep lab technicians Mark Kramer and Laurie Kramer and both Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT).
